Dive Log Manager 2.0 - Beta
Dive Log Manager is a free application for Mac OS X that is designed specifically to allow you to manage your logbooks between your Mac and Dive Log on iPhone. This Beta release of the next version of Dive Log Manager is being made available so that you can provide input on the design and help us identify problems that need to be resolved. To facilitate the exchange of information during the Beta period we would like to have you post in our forums. You can join the forums by visiting them here. Please post your feedback and questions under Dive Log Manager in the MacOS Software Forum.
Dive Log Manager 2.0 is a completely new application. While it maintains the features of Dive Log Manager 1.x, it provide a significantly improved user interface and the flexibility for us to add many new features. The first thing you’ll notice when using Dive Log Manager 2.0, after you have loaded your logbook, is that you can now see the details of your log. Now when you return from a dive trip and upload your logbook from your iPhone you’ll be able to view your dives on your Mac.

Dive Log Manger 2.0 has adopted a model that should be immediately familiar to iPhone/iPod touch and iPad users that synchronize their devices with iTunes. Once you enable Synchronization on your iPhone, it will appear as an available device in the Synchronize area of the sidebar. Simply click on the name of your iPhone to bring up the synchronization options.

The new import facility gives you access to the same external logbook formats that you are currently using in Dive Log Manager 1.3 but now it is much easier to control how your import will be handled. You can now directly select a dive in your existing logbook as the starting point for merging the imported dives. You can also enter any unused dive number to add the imported dives as new dives in your logbook. By default, imported dives will automatically be added to the end of your existing logbook.

Dive Log Manager 2 also offers contextual instructions to help guide you through managing your logbooks. You can click on the major topics in the sidebar to gain access to settings and additional information about how to use that part of the application.

We hope you find the direction that Dive Log Manager is going will help meet your needs in the future. Please join us in our forums to help be a part of setting that direction.
Requires Mac OS X v. 10.5 or later.
